Just thought I would share this with anyone who might like to see the new DSi XL midnight blue color. As a reviewer pointed out on Amazon, the color is more of a Pacific Blue, and not quite as bright or saturated of a blue shown in the initial online images. The system color now shown in the middle of its Amazon product page is more accurate.

The sides and the entire bottom of the system is matte black, good for keeping fingerprints at bay.

This marks the second DS type system I’ve owned that didn’t have a stuck pixel out of the box which is a good thing cause I hate them. Gotta love Nintendo’s pixel policy, the other two screens were promptly fixed by sending them back to Nintendo for repair. One thing I was a little skeptical about was degradation of the DS graphics due to the larger XL screens–there really isn’t any, maybe just a slight, slight softening of edges compared to the extra crispness of the DS Lite, but no biggie.
