Vivo X60 Review – Vivo X60 better mobile than OnePlus 9R?

Vivo is a Chinese tech giant that has come up with new revolutionary interesting and attractive specifications mobile phones competing with the likes of Oneplus 9 series, this year Vivo has come up with three phones of the X60 series (X60, X60 Pro, and X60 Pro +) touted as the successor of the X50 series.

Let’s take a look at the requirements and where it stands in comparison to the competition.

Release Date

The Vivo X60 series will be available in India on March 25, 2021. In the camera department, the X60 Series has been co-engineered with Zeiss, making it a valuable asset. There is also an intriguing virtual RAM feature. So keep reading to learn more about the Vivo X60.


The Vivo X60 comes with a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, we have an option called smart switch which can switch between 60 to 120Hz, HDR10+, and Schott Xensation as screen protection and Corning Gorilla 6 as back protection.

There are two versions available: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant available. It comes with UFS 3.1. This variant has 5G and supports 2 bands and has 2 nano sim slots with rubber gasket that doesnโ€™t allow water and dust to go inside the mobile.

It is a compact phone with a thickness of 7.4 mm and a weight of 182 gms. It includes a plastic frame. The design of the phone appears to be rather appealing, and the X60 comes in two colour variants: Midnight Black and Shimmer Blue with a satin texture, as well as an infinity O punch hole in the frame. On the display, bezels are almost non-existent. Due to the camera setup given on the back, there is a slight bump.


The Vivo X60 has a 6.56-inch AMOLED display and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 cover on both the front and back. It has decent viewing angles and can be used for content consumption. The maximum brightness is 1200 nits.


The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC with 7nm technology powers the phone. It’s a very nice chip for providing top-tier output with the available hardware. AnTuTu scores are around 708267, and GFXBench is 25 frames per second.

This handset has a new feature called virtual memory, which uses 3GB of ROM as RAM to compensate for tasks running in the background. Overall, the SoC delivers a smooth and powerful result.


The phone features the Android 11 OS with Funtouch 11.1 UI as the skin. It’s simple OS it is smooth. It comes with pre installed bloatware which can uninstalled.


The Chinese tech behemoth Vivo and the international giant optics Zeiss have joined forces to create this intriguing engineered smartphone with its best hardware setup. The top of the phone is inscribed with the words ‘Professional Photography,’ and it will live up to the tag.

It has a triple camera triangular setup on the back with LED light. The Vivo X60 has a 48 MP main camera with an f/1.79 aperture, a Sony IMX598 sensor, and Optical Image Stabilization.

Then there’s a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the front, followed by a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.46 aperture on the back. The rear camera system includes autofocus. For selfies, it has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

It produces punchy colours and eye-catching images during the day and particularly at night, and it outperforms its rear-camera counterparts. To name a couple, the camera has HDR, Panorama, portrait, pro sports mode, kids snapshot, bokeh, Slow-Motion, and night mode.


It has capability to record videos in 4k at 60fps and 1080p at 30fps. The front camera doesn’t have good stabilization. In rear camera 4k 30fps, 1080p 30fps, 1080 super stable video , 1080 ultra wide video stabilization must be improved. The 2x Telephoto video is good in terms of stabilization .


The Vivo X60 has a 4,300 mAh battery with 33W fast charging adapter given inside the box. It charges 0-100% in 1hr 10 mins. It gives in and around 6hrs on screen time with heavy usage.


Vivo X60 is priced at Rs 37,990. Oneplus 9R and Xiaomi Mi 11x pro are priced at Rs 39,999. They are priced very aggressively considering the specifications given,. But Vivo X60 beats them all in terms of performance as well as camera section comfortably.

Vivo X60 for 8GB RAM with 128GB storage is priced at Rs 37,990 and 12GB RAM with 256BG storage is Rs 41,990. I think it’s a good deal considering the specifications and features given to it.


The Vivo X60 from Vivo is one of the most premium smartphones available in India markets for less than Rs 40,000. The phone has some high-end specs, making it a worthy rival among its peers in the Rs. 40,000 price range.

Vivo has provided an excellent range of hardware for the front and rear cameras, as well as software that justifies the title ‘Professional Photography’. The AMOLED display and flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC with 7nm technology as a processor make it a decent buy at Rs. 37,990.
