Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
On March 29th, the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi organised a global event to unveil its latest Mi 11 series of mobile handsets. The Mi 11 Ultra, the high-end version of the smartphones, is now on its way to Indian markets. The phone will be published concurrently with the Mi 11 series. The launch date has been set for April 23, which is just a day away.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 is marketed as “The Superphone” by Xiaomi, but based on the specs, we call it a Beast because it has the best combination of hardware and software. Let’s take a closer look at the specifications below to get a better understanding of the features offered by Xiaomi.
Mi 11 Ultra Specifications
Design and looks
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra stands out from any other devices we’ve seen in a long time. The device comes in two beautiful colours: Ceramic White and Ceramic Black.
The design appears basic and premium; it has a large camera bump on the back, identical to the Samsung S21, but it is wider and has an additional 1.1 inch screen for a variety of tasks such as time, motivational quotes, notifications, or taking selfies.
It is 234gms in weight.
It also outperforms in terms of audio, thanks to the Harmon Kardon enhanced stereo system.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has a triple camera setup that includes a 50MP Samsung GN2 primary sensor with OIS, which Xiaomi claims is the largest camera sensor ever used on a mobile device. A 48MP OIS periscope telephoto lens with 120X digital and 5X optical zoom.
The 48MP ultra wide lens has a field of view of 128° (Field Of View). These cameras are capable of capturing 8K 24 fps and 4K 60 fps UHD images. It has a front-facing 20-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p 60 or 30 fps images.
On the front there is a 6.81-inch 2K AMOLED Quad curved display, which has a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate alongside with HDR10+ .
It has the brightest screen available, with 1700 nits. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and a Ceramic back, as well as a metal frame on the sides, giving it a premium appearance. In addition, the monitor is highly resistant to drops and scratches. The bezels are almost non-existent.
Processor and addition features
The Snapdragon 888 5G SoC in the Mi 11 Ultra is built on 5nm technology, so we can expect trouble-free results. It is an 8-core chipset with a 2.8GHz clock speed and an Adreno 660 GPU. Both 5G and WiFi 6 bands are supported by the chipset.
It has a dual nano sim card slot but no additional memory card slot. It comes in two sizes: 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory and 12GB RAM and 256GB internal memory. There are also 12GB RAM and 512GB internal memory options. The RAM is LPDDR5, and the ROM is UFS 3.1.
There is also IP68 dust and water resistance, and this is the first Xiaomi waterproof phone, with a water resistance of 1.5 metres for 30 minutes.
Software and Battery Information
It is powered by the MIUI 12.5 skin, which is based on Android 11. A 5,000 mAh battery with 67W quick charging is included (Wired as well as Wireless). All the sensors are given in display fingerprint, face unlock.
Launch in India of Mi 11 Ultra
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is already available in China and a few other countries around the world. Xiaomi is now planning to launch the Mi 11 Ultra alongside the Mi 11X lineup in India on April 23. This will be a fully virtual experience that starts on Friday at 12 p.m.

Price of Mi 11 Ultra in India
In India, Xiaomi has officially entered the premium league with the Xiaomi Mi 11, directly competing with iPhones, the Samsung Galaxy S and Note series, and the Oneplus 9 series. The key question here is how much the phone would cost in India. With these specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 11 has the potential to be a market leader if the price is kept competitive with its peers in the Indian market.
The price of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is under wraps, will be known soon tomorrow by 12:00 PM. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra starts at RMB 5,999 in China for an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version, which is approximately can be Rs 69,000 in India. A 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs RMB 6,499 approximately can be around Rs 75,000 in India, and finally 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant costs RMB 6,999 can be nearly Rs 80,000 in India.
As a result, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra’s base model competes directly with the OnePlus 9 Pro.
